Welcome to Great Revelations Academy!
It is truly an honor to serve as principal of Great Revelations Academy. My journey in education started in 1993 when I became an Arabic and Islamic studies teacher. Looking at my resume, I come with wealth of educational and leadership experiences. I graduated with a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction after I received two masters’ degrees: Master of Art in Teaching and Master of Science in Biological Sciences. I hold the professional teaching certificate in Mathematics and Biology. Additionally, I assumed the roles of teacher, counselor, academic coordinator, Arabic program supervisor and mentor over the years. With over 24 years of educational experience in Dearborn, I feel like our school is home. I do not view the position of principal as a job, but instead as an opportunity to lead our school to accomplish great things.
My personal and professional goals are to provide our students with the best educational experience possible to develop lifelong learners. I am looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children achieve their highest potential. As parents become more involved in their children’s academic learning process, students will have higher morale, school attendance, grades and test scores. GRA is fortunate to have small class sizes that enable teachers and staff to provide more attention to each student and build a strong classroom community based on the teachings of Islam.
As I welcome you to an amazing year of learning for your child, I want to assure you that my mission is to put kids first. I promise to provide a learning environment that is positive, caring, safe and fun place to learn and grow. Our commitment at Great Revelations Academy is to provide an intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers, and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty first century as faithful Muslims.
Great Revelations Academy adheres to the requirements set by the Department of Education, uses a curriculum that meets Common Core Standards, and offers Islamic Studies and Arabic language classes. Students are provided with many learning opportunities throughout the school year. Assemblies, field trips, extracurricular activities, student leadership opportunities, and participation in religious and community family events are some of the activities intended to enrich students' lives and enhance their knowledge and skills.
We at Great Revelations Academy are committed to maintain the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been recognized as the legacy of Al-Mabarrat Schools abroad. This is evident in the extraordinary academic gain in both Math and Reading on the
